Giving Tuesday 2021
*If you would prefer to send a donation by check, you may mail a check payable to Sea Sisters Inc. to PO Box 11022 Napa CA 94581
Sea Sisters Inc. is a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN 83-3557499. All donations are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on deductibility applicable to a particular taxpayer. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution.
2021 has been a difficult year for many of us, but Sea Sisters is still going strong into 2022. We are committed to our mission of supporting women in the maritime industry, and we can continue to do this with your help.
We have so many achievements to be proud of as an organization.
Thanks to our partnership with MITAGS, we were able to give away over five thousand dollars in free Basic Safety Training and Advanced Firefighting courses to women who were new to the industry in 2020. We will re-up this partnership in 2022 and for years to come - keep an eye on your inbox for that announcement!
In 2020, we set up a pen pal program that connected over 130 women across the world who have been sharing their lives with fellow sea sisters through letters and care packages for the past year. This holiday season, we matched participants for Sea Sisters Pen Pals: Holiday Edition to keep the fun going!
We have built a dedicated webpage and support network to provide help, healing and guidance to survivors of sexual assault and harassment at sea, and we will work tirelessly with fellow industry leaders to prevent sexual assault in the maritime industry.
We will continue to foster connection within our community through ongoing special programs, online content, and in-person as well as virtual networking.
To ramp up our programs going into the new year, we need your help. We owe our success to the generosity of our community which helped us build this amazing nonprofit organization, and we look forward to delivering on our mission statement for years to come, with your support.
Donations from this campaign will allow us to cover general expenses in the coming year and keep our site and business up and running to its fullest capacity. Remaining funds will be allocated to our special projects.
As we have always said, we were built on grassroots support from our community. If you love what we have created, this is your chance to play a very real part in our future. Please consider a donation to Sea Sisters today!
Sustainer Program
We know that the past couple years have been trying for everyone, and charitable giving is not an option for some this year due to financial reasons, which is why we offer our Sustainer Program for donors!
All donors will be recognized on the Donate page of the Sea Sisters website.
Additionally, every person who gives either:
a one-time donation of $125 or more;
or pledges to give $10 or more on a monthly basis,
or $25 or more on a quarterly basis,
will be featured in a special section on the Donate page and will receive a mystery gift pack as a token of our gratitude, in recognition of your generosity.
Special thanks to our recurrent monthly and quarterly donors Marissa Wilson, Emilie Kimball, and Michelle Otero Valdes for your ongoing philanthropy! Pledging a small recurring donation is a great and affordable way to support Sea Sisters.
